It’s been a solid nine months since we first opened our doors and have finally gotten to our first blog post. For those not familiar with Fig & Thistle, we are a small beer and wine bar in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley. Our focus is on all domestic beer, wine, cheese, charcuterie, and having a good time. I am pleased to announce that this year our staff will be taking turns curating the wine or beer list. I want to take this opportunity to announce that the first of such list is up and ready for you to drink, lovingly put together by our very own Beth Cook.

I met Beth through one of our regulars, Yoshi Sako (a sake sommelier at Izakaya Yuzuki). He brought her over for a glass of wine and a couple of days later I was lucky enough to have her as part of our team. She is passionate about wine, especially California wine, so for this list we have 12 wineries on the line up from Mendocino County all the way to Santa Barbara. Come in on a Wednesday or Sunday to visit Beth and ask her more about the wine.
